March

This month, we had an enjoyable trip to Salisbury Playhouse to take in a fantastic performance of Fascinating Aida. We also had our usual business meetings, including a couple of presentations. Finally, we have a press release on the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
February

After a quiet month in January, we got back into full swing for February. We had speakers from Shaftesbury Car Link not-for-profit community transport service. We also had our first social gathering of the new year. The Rotary’s Youth Speaks hosted a debate. We ended the month with our business meeting, with some worthwhile charitable donations.
January

January was a quiet month with just the one meeting. We did receive a wonderful letter from KidsOut for our recent support. We also look back at our pre-pandemic Casino night as well as an interesting piece from the Rotary magazine.
December

After 18 very happy years and memories, December sadly saw our last meeting at the always outstanding Fleur de Lys. We also met for a Christmas lunch at Rushmore Golf Club and finally snapped a handover photo of our President.
November

We got a taste of medieval battle this month as speaker Dan Evans discussed the battle of Agincourt. We also held our usual business meeting and look at an interesting piece from this month’s Rotary Magazine.
October

October saw us welcome a new member, we were regaled with stories from the sea and we also had a cheeky Italian. In addition, to make up for the lack of Twinning these past two years, we look back at the last visit from our Dutch friends.
September

This month we embraced the fresh air as we met for a walk around Wardour Castle, and we were able to hold our Charity Golf day (with a bumper number of teams taking part!). Out of the elements, we gathered for our usual meetings at the fleur.
August

We welcomed speaker Mark Blackman this month to talk about plans for the St Mary’s school site. We also held our first face to face business meeting post lockdown.
July

July actually felt more like normality had resumed. We started the month with our Gold Hill Festival event, rotarians gathered for a garden party and we finally returned to the Fleur for a meeting.
June

This month we finally met in person with our club assembly being held at the Coppleridge Inn. June also brought our annual President handover with Tim Cook taking the seat.
