8th September  – We welcomed Five members from Fordingbridge Rotary club.   We also took wine with Philip Proctor celebrating his 50th anniversary of membership in Rotaract and Rotary.

We approved a donation of £500 to Shelterbox. 

The Community Directory is making progress with 125 cards already prepared in draft.

The Annual Bingo is planned for Wednesday 26th November at Shaston social club.

The schools having now returned are getting on board with shoeboxes, Youth Speaks, Young Chef, Rotakids and our other youth projects.

22nd September – An Open Meeting to consider, discuss, and review what we currently Do. what aspirations the club has for the coming year and how we can increase funds that we donate to local and international charities and causes.  There plenty of ideas on what and how to improve the range and quality of what we do and hopefully you will see these ideas coming to fruition over the coming Year.

26th to 29th September – We hosted a dozen friends from the Rotary club of Heerlen.  Arriving on the Friday evening, we visited the Sculpture by the Lakes, Moreton Chuch and other sites before returning to Shaftesbury for Fish & Chips, Carnival procession, followed by Desserts at Phil’s. On Sunday we visited Witchmark Distillery at Fonthill and other local sights. We enjoyed a farewell meal at The Salt Cellar on Sunday evening and they departed Monday morning.
