July Timeline

14th July – We were joined by Clive Paget and Mandy Morgan from Yewstock School who enlightened us on the history of the school and its work with special needs children. A recent open day was attended by Paul and he has highly recommended a visit next year to learn more about the school.

Yewstock School – A special place for everyone to learn, achieve and be valued.

28th July – Business meeting.

First Milk and Blackmore Vale Dairy have confirmed their continued support for Rotary events.

Rotakids have presented cheques to the Air Ambulance and Swans Trust

Rotary Directory. A proposal was put forward to draft a new directory  of  “Things to do” in Shaftesbury for circulation to all residents both old and new.  It was agreed to take this forward as this would be an invaluable tool to promote the activities and events in our community.

Twinning visit from Heerlen planned for September.  Shoeboxes to be re-started this year. Cirkus Bezerkus to be booked for December, plus other social events in the pipeline.
