12th May – Speakers evening. After the regular business we were brought up to date on the work of The Friends of Westminster Hospital by Chairman Julian Pritchard. www.friendsofwmh.org.uk From the work with the patients, to the garden, car park extension, property purchases and office accommodation for the community mental health team and more recently Pepperell House. www.friendsofwmh.org.uk Very much an unsung hero group in Shaftesbury who have done so much for Westminster Hospital and the patients.

18th May – North Dorset Cycle Ride sponsored by The Blackmore Vale Dairy, we were blessed with excellent weather for the 50 mile ride, 22 mile gravel crunch and 6km family fun ride, all finishing on the grueling Gold Hill Climb.

Cyclists on completion were greeted with burgers, hot dogs and bacon rolls cooked by our very own Paul Whiteman, family and friends. Cold drinks were provided by BAD, The Brave and Determined. The Brave & Determined Company | Not-for-profit

Shaftesbury Rotary Club would like to thank all the volunteers who came out to help on the event, together with the Nadder Centre, Abbey Primary School RotaKids, Shaftesbury Primary School, Lidl and Coffee Devils at the Nadder Centre. The main beneficiary of the proceeds will Prostate Cancer UK.
