Shaftesbury Community Choir is a very popular choir which welcomes everyone of all ages and abilities. You do not need to feel you’re any good at singing at all; a choir is a great example of how the whole can be greater than the parts! The emphasis is on singing for fun rather than performance although members do enjoy taking part in local community events such as fund raising for the local hospital or taking part in various Shaftesbury festivals. There is no audition, no requirement to read music and anyone is welcome to join at any time with no need to attend every session. Usually about 40 - 60 people come to each session but this may be a slightly different combination each time! It’s £4.00 a session which includes refreshments.
