If you want to serve the community voluntarily, then come to Shaftesbury Car Link. As a volunteer driver, you’ll be working with our existing coordinators, who will guide you on our services and your role. You’ll use your own car to pick up people in the Shaftesbury and surrounding villages in the SP7 area and transport them to their destination. You must be over the age of 21 - there is no restriction on upper age limit. You will have to undergo a DBS check and hold a full driving licence. Your insurer must be made aware that you are assisting passengers in a volunteer capacity ; we can help with this.If you want to help but don't want to drive, we have a variety of administration roles including answering the phone, managing the diary, liaising with customers and drivers and dealing with other paperwork. You must be organised, patient and have a good telephone manner.
