June 2025

9th June – we were pleased to welcome The District Governor Debbie Dunford, who presented a Paul Harris award to Genette Gale for her exemplary service especially with the Youth and Community projects.

Rtn Rob Blackman gave us an interesting history of English Wine going right back to the ancient Britons and including a tasting of an English wine from a Bacchus grape.

23rd June – Plans are under way for the Youth Competitions over the winter and we are in touch with the local schools who are keen to take part.  Arrangements are also in progress for the visiting club from Heerlen in September.

Rotary Childrens Fun Day. Ninety-one children with sixty adult helpers took part in the visit to Longleat, apart from mechanical problems with one bus. The event was enjoyed by all and another successful year.    www.longleat.co.uk
