Halloween Lantern Walk

The registration, payment and start is at the Quaker Meeting House, Abbey Walk, Shaftesbury SP7 8BB at 4:30 pm. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, there will be a prize for the best-dressed child, the best-dressed family, and the best homemade lantern. No naked flames are allowed. So please use LED, battery or solar lights for your lanterns. A torch will be needed so you can safely walk around the route. It will be October, and so it will be starting to get dark.

Along the lantern walk there will be activities for the children to do, so please bring a pen. At the end, soup will be available. The walk is around 2.5K and will take in the region of 30 minutes, please allow a little longer due to the activities and younger children may take longer to walk the route.

Children will need to be accompanied by an adult. Please ensure you bring a torch as it will be getting dark. The route involves going down steps in the dark, and part of it is on a stony path, and the route might be slippery in places, so please wear sensible footwear. It is October, so be prepared for the weather.

The cost is:
£10 for 2 adults and 2 children
£5 for 1 adult and 2 children
Additional child £1 per child

Payment can be taken by cash or card on the day. The money raised will go towards the cost of the event and will enable us to continue to support local good causes. We hope to see you on 28th October 2023. If you have any query don't hesitate to get in touch with Shaftesbury Rotary Club
